Romy:
For the very first time, we are on the road with our mini foldable caravan... on vacation. We already have some camping experience - but only on one of the well-equipped campsites in Switzerland. There, you get everything your heart desires, or rather, what you forgot at home.
I have no idea how campsites outside Sempach (our first and only camping experience) work, so I mentally prepare myself that we are actually going into the wilderness. No water, no electricity, no shopping.
Weeks in advance, I set things aside, go shopping, dream of terrible floods due to days of rain... in short, I prepare for everything imaginable.
Luggage piles up in the living room (double gas stove, box with selected spices, pastes, and everything that I think should not be missing in a kitchen, panties and emergency panties - you can always use panties! - First aid kit for a possible war situation, Nespresso machine, coffee capsules, clothesline... and so on) - do we really have to take all of this?
My beloved, who was quite confident for a long time and said that we have plenty of space for all these things, furrows his brow and suggests that I should reduce this and that box so that we only have one box to put away... And what can I say? Of course, I managed that easily. Okay, I accidentally sorted out a few useful things.
Whatever - at least my wardrobe is top-notch: I still have the perfect clothing for every imaginable occasion - of course with matching shoes. :-)
In the end, everything will be fine. And we have already been here at the romantic Wolfgangsee for a few days, we have settled in comfortably and have already survived the first stormy downpour.
Bad Ischl is only a few kilometers away, so we visited the romantic little town today. As a former summer residence of the imperial Austrian family, Bad Ischl still exudes a very special charm.
Alex:
After an eternity at 92km/h, we are 530 kilometers away from home. The campsite is great, the lake is wild-romantic at its best. The nearby restaurant (Gamsjäga) is a better snack bar. Everything is fine.
