Before we head back inland, we stay one last night on the west coast at a lake. This is where the makeshift but super effective leftover mosquito net comes into use again. There are over 20 mosquitoes sitting on the net, but they disappear when we spray our disgusting mosquito spray on them. We actually want to run or hike the next morning, but we don't really trust the weather so we continue on to Hamner Springs. There's a Willi cleaning day coming up. It's slowly time to take photos and create a Facebook post in various groups. We spend the next day exclusively in the thermal baths. There are two water slides, plenty of hot pools and afternoon fries. Great! So we defy the stress of travel. Our entire recovery is in jeopardy when Maren desperately tries to find a campsite while driving, with the internet constantly interrupted. Actually the plan is to stand on one of the many free campers, but the reviews warn that a ranger checks very often. We are self-contained, but our toilet would have to be officially set up and fixed and not buried under the bed. There can be very high penalties here, so we want to go to a campsite just to be on the safe side. But these are either fully booked, difficult to book, or the internet is gone. So we just go there, eat pizza and book a campsite while we're at it. Of course there's no one there anymore, it's already gotten dark and we just stand somewhere. We leave again at 7 a.m.
