Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto)

Pubblicato: 06.04.2017

A day after my mom and sister left again, I started my next trip right away and flew to Japan for 5 days to experience the beautiful cherry blossom season. The first day in Tokyo was unfortunately quite rainy, but I was still out and about with a Frenchman from the hostel and we visited the typical tourist spots. We went to the famous Shibuya Crossing, Ueno Park, a cat cafe, Skytree, a few temples, and crazy streets. And we tried delicious food. Otherwise, well, I've already forgotten all the names again, so just the short version. On Sunday, I visited a few other temples and parks in Tokyo and then continued on to Osaka at night. On Monday, I spent the day there and visited even more temples and shrines, and also went to the castle, which was not bad. ;) On Tuesday morning, I took a train from Osaka to Kyoto and visited the 100th temple, which was also very interesting because there was a 'service' going on inside and you were allowed to join. So I watched for a few minutes how they spoke and sang. In the evening, I took the night bus back to Tokyo. There, I only visited the Shinjuku Gyoen Park, which was by far the most beautiful park and had beautiful blooming cherry trees. :))) As a conclusion, on recommendation, I went to an onsen and relaxed there for the remaining hours until my departure. It was pretty cool. In the beginning, you get a yukata to borrow and then you have to get naked and put it on. Then you can go into the actual bath where everyone is actually naked (men and women separate). There are many different pools with different temperatures, some bubble, some are outside or inside, and there's also a sauna. It wasn't bad. Overall, Japan was a very nice trip, the weather was great except for the first day and the people were really nice and helpful. Even though most of them could hardly speak English, they always made the greatest effort to help. Traveling alone was also very pleasant, and I didn't expect to like it so much, but it was a great five days! :)
