This time our ship was moored right next to a Ferris wheel. On the way to the bus we were able to admire it up close.
The bus first took us to Osaka Castle. The view from the roof was particularly interesting. The exhibition on the history of the city should be of interest to Japanese-speaking historians.
Next we headed to the busy Sinsekai district. With restaurants lined up next to each other, this was the perfect place to stop to pick out lunch. The four of us went to a restaurant where I had Wagyu beef sashimi-style (raw and thinly sliced) while the others opted for fish dishes.
Afterwards, we enjoyed the relative peace and quiet of the Namba Yasaki Shrine and let the lion there eat us for group photos.
For me, the highlight was the Umeda Sky Building, two skyscrapers connected at a dizzying height by two escalators. I had never seen an escalator as an aircraft before.
Finally, we were able to explore the tourist district of Dotonbori and spend our last yen, because that was unfortunately the end of our stay in Japan.
In "Kings and Queens - A Life Story", Daniele Arbisi sang and told very personal stories about his life, in the presence of his parents.
