SA 28.08. Kvisvik - Trondheim - Verdal

And still sunny all day

On the 3 1/2 hour drive to Trondheim - a ferry, many tunnels - we do a big shopping for the weekend.

In Trondheim we park the car in the parking garage and stroll through the interesting, bustling city center on familiar paths. In June 2014 we landed here by plane, stayed two days and then sailed with the Hurtigruten for our bike tour to the Lofoten Islands.

A former port area is now a restaurant, pubs, culture and scene district, here we eat Norwegian pizza outside in the sunshine and feel almost at home in Beuel - the neighborhood is called "Solasiden" = "sunny side"!

The remaining 90 km lead through hilly landscape, with many corn fields, pastures and farms, without high mountains. This time we have a small cabin in the forest at the Soria Moria campsite. After a walk through a nature and wetland area, surprisingly with lots of sea buckthorn bushes full of almost ripe berries, we eat organic spinach salad on the tiny veranda and go to bed early.
