The journey through Montenegro now takes us to Budva. We are staying with Natalija and Darko, their 3 children, and parents. The two have been building their house for 15 years and have created an idyllic little paradise for their family and animals at the top of the mountain!
Since we only want to travel long distances by car, it is a long, hot, and sometimes crazy way to Jaz Beach, but it's totally worth it!
Once you arrive at the bottom, you have a bit of a feeling of having landed on a Thai island because of the cliffs and turquoise water!
It's also a long way along the serpentine roads to the nearest supermarket (Montenegro is not made for pedestrians and no one else walks here except us), but Ronny is happy to take it daily... good for us, bad for the flip-flops!
We weren't completely convinced by the city of Budva itself, as it is more geared towards mass tourism and therefore crowded, noisy, and exhausting. That's why we did move the car once and drove along the coast to the relatively well-known Sveti Stefan Beach.
Thank you Natalija and Darko, it was a very relaxed and family time with you!
Finally, it's time to thank the most important travel utensil! Without you, we would have been screwed a long time ago! Thank you Bite Away! 🦟
