And now it's halftime - the first 6 months of our journey are already over, completely crazy!!

On to the next 6 months!

From Galle we continue by train to Walgama...

Drying laundry in Sri Lanka!
Eyes closed and through..

Walgama is a beautiful small town located between Mirissa and Matara on the coast!

New friend!

Our guesthouse is right by the sea - it's a great place to stay and...

and getting older is only half as bad!

Happy Ronny!

We eat fresh fish, prepared by our landlord, who is a fantastic cook (thank you for the tip ChrisTina!), drink coconut water, and relax in the sun!

Even though the rainy season is not over yet and it pours almost every evening, the sunsets here are incredibly beautiful!

Finally:

Half-year summary by Ronny: 'So, suddenly half a year of the journey is over again. The time flew by because of the many impressions and experiences. Stupid phrase, but it's true. Half a year ago, we got into our little car and thought, let's see how far we can go with it. Then we were suddenly in Georgia, and now in the jungle of Sri Lanka. On the way, we met many great people, crossed incredible landscapes, and had to drink too much of the local liquor. We are very grateful for everything and always try to give back a little of what has already happened to us. Cheers to what we have experienced so far and to everything that is yet to come!'

Half-year summary by Katha: '9 different countries, cultures, people, currencies... incredible what we have experienced in the last six months and how many great people with their stories we have had the opportunity to meet! Everything has worked so perfectly so far, we have never had any bad luck and everything is just going smoothly - let's keep it that way! I actually consider it a positive thing that we are (unfortunately) traveling during a pandemic, as we are often the only guests and can get to know the people even more personally while at the same time giving them a little hope for the vital tourism industry!'
