Day 18 - Portimào - Balconies over the sea

Pubblicato: 19.04.2019

Hey guys!

The trip to Portugal was really worth it!

Today our day started with a delicious breakfast at Mama's Hotel. Unlike yesterday, there was a buffet: not big, but everything we wanted was there. After this meal, we returned to our spot and prepared for the short hike.

It was a 5km hike, which took us about 1 hour. The trail was really amazing! It went along the coast and we enjoyed spectacular views. We even saw the rocks with the seagulls nesting, cool to see them up close! The trail itself was not the typical tourist thing. It went over rough terrain, close to the cliffs, and offered a certain 'adventure experience'. We all really liked it and the three of us returned to the camper satisfied.

Afterwards, we sat on the chairs and worked intensively on our tan :) We also met our neighbor Diana and her dog Lola. After a few exchanged words, she joined us and we chatted all afternoon. She used to work as a nurse in a psychiatric clinic, which was very interesting to listen to. Then Kevin went off on the moped - I had run out of cigarettes and we needed charcoal for the barbecue. When he didn't come back after a while, I called him: The moped didn't start anymore because the starter rope had broken, but he was trying to get it running... Meanwhile, it started to rain, so we (Diana, Mama, and I) waited eagerly and with a slight guilty conscience for him. Everyone was relieved when he finally returned. For dinner, as you can probably imagine, we had the leftover burger meat :) Since we didn't have any burger buns left, we improvised with tortillas - but it was really delicious! We booked another room for Mama for two nights and later took her to the hotel.

Back at the spot, Diana joined us again and we chatted for a while.

Tomorrow we will rent motorcycles - only 50cc, but we are really excited!

You will find out all about our adventures in the evening ;)

See you later!
