Today, we went "cross-country" again. That means on roads and paths that were not reserved for bicycles only.
For the first 15 km, the towns were still quite scattered, but then the Paris suburbs came, where the entrance and exit signs were always combined. I had planned the route so that I could at least ride along the Seine for half of the way. But even there, there were sometimes no separate bike paths. The path sometimes led along the Seine and the city highway. In the center, there was heavy city traffic. It's astonishing that nothing happened despite the confusing driving behavior of all road users.
The street where the hotel is located is colorful, noisy, and full of people. It's quite a contrast to the rather solitary and quiet days on the river cycle path.
PS: The portrait photo is for me as a memory, as the "fuzz" bothers me, especially in the heat, and a shave is on the agenda again tomorrow.
