Bike tour day 23

For this morning rain was announced, in the afternoon there should only be showers and that's exactly how it was. So I planned the latest possible start. At 11:00 am I started. The rain wasn't very heavy but consistent. Until around 3:00 pm rain and dry periods alternated. Then it cleared up so much that the sun was almost too hot again. But the air cooled down a bit, so the rain gear wasn't quite as unpleasant.

The route now follows the 'Canal du Centre'. A formerly built waterway for freight shipping, which is now only used by sport and house boats. However, the season hasn't started yet, as there were only a few boats on the way. It was again relatively straight (some think boring) sections with little variety in design. Unfortunately, the path often leads over moderately busy roads, as they often run directly next to the canal.

For the first few hours I was alone as a cyclist, the rain certainly scared off some people. Even later I only met a few cyclists sporadically, so the route probably isn't suitable as a training route.
