It stormed last night that I thought the house was blowing away. During the day, the wind was also very strong again. Today I walked my favorite path along the Tasman Sea (Pacific) to Watson Bay one last time. I took the ferry to Circular Quay one last time (I might go again tomorrow, but only if Michelle has time to take me to Rose Bay in the afternoon) and from there back to Rose Bay. It was really a beautiful time here in Sydney, even though the weather wasn't quite as I had imagined. Sydney really offers everything you could wish for: museums, an amazing city, beautiful parks, especially the great hiking trails along the coast but also in the bays, and of course my beloved ferries. In some ways, it was like a little cruise, with everything I saw on the ferry rides. Just thinking about that river cruise on the Parramatta. Yes, and then there's the silhouette of Sydney over and over again:
Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and the city when you enter Circular Quay. I think I took a thousand photos of it. Or the evenings in Watson Bay with the sun setting over the city and the Harbour Bridge. A fantastic sight. Although I had bad luck with the weather in the Blue Mountains, it was beautiful again in the Hunter Valley. And of course the highlight:
New Year's Eve at the Opera. I don't think I'll forget that anytime soon.
It was nice that I could always tell you about my experiences in the evenings, and I also really appreciated your comments. So let's see when my next blog will be published and where I will be then.
See you later, Roswitha
