On the 13th day, we started relatively early again and after breakfast, we headed towards Table Mountain at around 9 am. Due to the unpredictable weather, we decided against hiking and chose the cable car instead. But even the cable car that takes you from the base station up to Table Mountain, about 800 meters high, was not without its challenges. So only one of us went up the mountain while the other explored the beach for the afternoon.
The ride to Table Mountain took about four minutes. During the ride, the cable car rotated, giving us a 360-degree view. Whether you need to look down during the ascent is up to you. Upon reaching the top, we were greeted with a breathtaking view of Cape Town and Lion's Head. We were able to take a short walk around the mountain. After about 90 minutes on the mountain, we headed back down.
Once we reunited, we went to Clifton Beach, which is located in a relatively upscale neighborhood. Afterwards, we had to return our rental car, which had served us faithfully for nearly two weeks and almost 1000 km.
