After a 5-hour bus ride, on an incredibly comfortable bus, I finally arrived in the rainy and cold Cameron Highlands.
In the hostel I booked, I met Colin, and later Paul from the Netherlands and Ramona from Switzerland joined us. We spent the whole evening together at a jungle bar playing billiards.
For the next morning, we booked a trip to the famous tea plantations and the mossy forest. The nature here is simply beautiful... not much can be said about it, except that everyone should see it for themselves. The pictures speak for themselves. Appu was our guide, who made the whole experience funny and exciting. You could tell that Cameron Highlands is his 'baby'. You can also find him on Instagram at racer_ofde_highland where he posts great pictures. The light in the Camerons constantly changes, and every picture looks different... sometimes mystical, sometimes bright and sunny.
Other than the beautiful tea plantations, there wasn't really much to do here. It was cold, and there was so little water from the shower that I couldn't take a shower. That's why I left one day earlier than planned and took the bus to Penang/Georgetown, the city of street artists, together with Ramona.
