Thanks to comfortable beds, we were somewhat rested in the morning and headed to the 'continental breakfast' at the hotel. Fueled by waffles, eggs, and bacon, we set out to explore the French Quarter. First, we visited the St. Louis Cathedral, then we sat in Jackson Square and listened to jazz tunes. We continued by browsing the shops at the French Market. After a quick snack of leftover cold pizza from the night before, we went on a boat tour on the Mississippi with the Natchez paddlewheel steamboat. After the 2-hour boat ride, we strolled further through the French Quarter. For dinner, we enjoyed delicious ribs with beans & potato salad, and a typical gumbo with chicken, shrimp, and oysters. 🤤
