Today we explored SF by bike. We started from Fisherman's Wharf along the water just before 9am, initially aiming for the Golden Gate Bridge. Unfortunately, this time we didn't have the meteorological luck of the previous day, so the bridge was still surrounded by fog.
After some photo stops, we set out to cross the bridge. Nearly 3 kilometers later, we made it. Upon arriving on the other side, we were greeted by sunshine.
We continued to Sausalito, a small coastal town with a famous houseboat community. We took a short break to reach our next destination, Old Mill Park.
I admit that I was running out of energy and my butt was hurting a lot due to the great saddle. Maybe Steffi was just doped. Anyway, she continued the remaining stretch to the park on her own.
Although we could have taken the ferry in Sausalito, we decided to ride on to the next place called Tiburon and take the ferry back to SF, which was scheduled to leave for the last time at 7:15 pm. It was a challenging final stretch.
We finally arrived shortly after 7 pm, so we were able to take the boat back.
Tired and feeling every bone in our bodies, we crawled into bed...
