Our last day in Salt Rock is coming to an end. We had two wonderfully sunny days on the Indian Ocean. Yesterday we had a pool beach day where we read a lot, sunbathed, and I went snorkeling. In the evening, we had a three-course dinner in our accommodation, which was arranged just for us. Apparently, no other guests were interested in dinner at the house. It was very cozy and delicious. I had Boboti, which is a traditional South African minced meat casserole brought here by the Dutch. Originally, the dish comes from Indonesia and was prepared with fish. Today, we took a boat tour in the hope of seeing dolphins. Unfortunately, the dolphins did not show up, but the fast speed of the boat was also a lot of fun. For the rest of the day, we relaxed and went to a nice café. Mom ordered a Red Cappuccino there, hoping to try a new coffee specialty. What came out was a Rooibos tea with frothed milk, which didn't quite satisfy her coffee craving. Tomorrow, we will travel back to the mountains to a self-catering chalet, where you are supposed to go hiking. Since there will probably be no internet there, we wish everyone a relaxed slide into the year 2017, may all your wishes come true. Feel hugged at midnight. We are already celebrating the new year here an hour earlier, if we can handle it for that long 😊
