It started off well...if you're too stupid to book luggage for the flight.
When I arrived at check-in, the nice employee looked at my documents and said, 'Ah, you're only traveling with carry-on luggage?' Of course, I hadn't planned on that and gave my 17kg suitcase a confused look.
'Maybe you only booked the suitcase for the return flight?'
No, I didn't remember making such an arrangement...
Well, let's forget about it. Off to the next line to book the luggage. It worked, but cost me a small fortune of 40,- €...guess I'll have to skip dinner tonight. As long as the suitcase doesn't travel to China and end up in Palermo with me, everything's fine.
To my great joy, my landlady contacted me via WhatsApp and sent me detailed directions from the airport to Villa Velez in Balestrate.
In the airplane, there was a movie-worthy sunset to admire. When I arrived in Palermo, a stranger across from me at the baggage carousel actually tried to snatch my suitcase. But no way, that was mine!
Picking up the rental car went smoothly and off I went on the highway to Trapani. I'll have to take another look at my Fiat tomorrow in daylight, I mean, it's gray. But it gets dark about 1 hour earlier here...Besides, it started raining.
My apartment is very cozy, the landlords are very nice and helpful. I'm sure I can relax here!
Now, I wish everyone a lovely evening and lots of fun with the travel blog.
