One night and one day in Kobe

Pubblicato: 02.04.2018

From Kyoto, we continued our journey to the south on the evening of March 27th. Our destination was Kobe. Upon arrival, we headed to Hostel Yume Nomad where we spent the night.

Daniela and I decided to take an hour for street evangelism in the evening. So, we separated for an hour and let the Holy Spirit guide us. I had two encounters: a young man rode past me on his bicycle and at that moment, he dropped his phone holder. I picked it up for him and tried to start a conversation. Unfortunately, he couldn't speak English, but with the help of the flyers, I was able to make him understand that Jesus loves him and desires a relationship with him. He looked at me a bit surprised, rode a few meters, but then stopped to take a closer look at the flyer 🙏. After that, I entered a street where one brothel followed another. I asked the Holy Spirit for an encounter and immediately a man approached me. He tried to convince me to go into a brothel. When I explained to him in English that he is also loved by Jesus and gave him the flyer, he laughed briefly and then went to his colleague. Both of them took the time to read what they had received 🙌.

Daniela also had beautiful encounters: she was able to tell a woman, who was trying to persuade her husband to leave in a gaming cave, about Jesus. For another woman who even approached Daniela and could speak some English, she was able to pray 🙌👍🏻.

The next morning, we headed to Mt. Fukiaicho, where we took the cable car and then hiked down through the botanical garden on the mountain.

Before heading back to Tokyo and making a stop in Shizuoka, we found ourselves in search of Kobe beef in a Shabu-Shabu restaurant. There, you sit in front of a pot of hot water and receive a plate of meat, noodles, and rice to cook together with different vegetables. It's actually great, but unfortunately not so easy to navigate when the waiter doesn't speak English, you don't speak Japanese, and Google Translate is having speech errors 😂. After some discussion, we managed to order and even enjoyed the hoped-for Kobe beef 🙌
