Day 4: Rialto Beach, Hoh River, and Ruby Beach

Pubblicato: 17.09.2016

On day 4, we drove on the #101 to the Pacific coast to Rialto Beach. The stony beach is known for its driftwood and the 'Hole in the Wall', which can be reached after about 1 hour of walking along the beach. On the way back, we were observed by some curious seals :)

Next stop, Hoh River, a rainforest in the middle of Olympic National Park. From the main road #101, the Visitor Center can be reached in about 40 minutes. From here, we started a short hike called 'Hall of Mosses'. The moss-covered trees create a ghostly atmosphere, reminiscent of The Lord of the Rings.
The last stop for today was Ruby Beach. We marveled at this section of the beach in absolutely beautiful weather.
Tomorrow, we will leave the west coast for a day trip to Mount St. Helens.

Greetings,
Steffi and Axel
