Bachelor’s Thesis Submitted – What Else? 🎓

Hello dear ones! 🫶🏻 

I realize that life moves quickly—too quickly when it comes to keeping up. Please be patient with me; it’s taken a while for me to post again. 🫣 Writing my bachelor’s thesis has demanded a significant amount of time from me. But here’s the good news: it was submitted a week and a half ago, and I have to say, it feels pretty great. 😉

I’m starting this blog post around Easter. That means I’m going back through the gallery and sharing a few things. Over Easter, I got to marvel at a little bonfire in the neighboring village and enjoy a stunning sunset. ☀️

Two weeks later, I found myself at my aunt’s garden enjoying a delicious, spontaneous stick bread. I’m grateful to have family down here, where a door is always open. They always have an open ear for things that may be on your mind. Like that last long phase of getting to know someone, which I’m starting to move past. 🤓 Around that time, I also won two tickets on Instagram to a reading by Michael Nast on the topic “Generation Dating Burnout.” So the following week, I went to Stuttgart with a friend. It truly opened my eyes in a few ways. It definitely entertained us. 😄

That event was rapidly followed by the next one. At the end of April, my sister visited me for a few days. Unfortunately, I was still fully absorbed in my bachelor stuff and couldn’t give her the attention she deserved. 🥲 

Afterward, we had an evangelism event in our community, where a speaker came to give a talk in the evenings. It lasted four days. 

Right after that, I went to Lake Garda with my aunt for about a week. You may be wondering how I can be so mobile when I’m actually supposed to be focusing on my bachelor’s thesis? At that point, I already had most of it done. It was just the proofreading left. 😉 

At Lake Garda, we took the ferry to visit several towns along the lake. Each town had its own charm. One day, I hiked up a mountain that provided a wonderful view of the lake. There was a cross at the summit. Then we continued on to the town of Salò. I couldn’t help but smile when I spotted the town on Google Maps. The entire trip clocked in at 23 km and 5 hours and 20 minutes. Why not try it? I've got two healthy feet. 🤗 I returned to Desenzano by speedboat. 🚤 I found the town of Limone really fascinating. It was filled with lemons. 🍋 The fresh lake air and Italian cuisine were a real treat! 

When I got back to Germany, it didn't take long for my parents to visit again. Their first stop was at my aunt’s place. We're now in mid-May. I spent a few days with her, and we took a day trip to Landshut. While my parents visited someone, I went to see one of my aunt’s friends with her. 

Back in Ansbach, I began my annual planting project once more. So far, I have planted lettuce, Swiss chard, and bell peppers in the garden. 🥬🫑 

A week later, I visited my aunt again. One day, my parents and I drove to the Czech Republic to refuel. On a whim, we decided to make a detour to Franzensbad. It's such a wonderful town. ☺️ It’s not called a spa town for nothing. After that, we celebrated my aunt’s birthday at a Greek restaurant. 

On May 22, we headed to North Rhine-Westphalia to visit my brother. For one, it was my niece’s birthday that weekend, and for another, we had another family gathering.  🙌🏻  My niece is pure sweetness; I’d love to be a mom myself. 🫠😁

The following weekend, at the end of May, my parents visited me again in Ansbach. My dad got to preach at my church. ⛪️

And here we are again. On June 2, 2026, I did it. I went to university and submitted my bachelor’s thesis. What a liberating feeling. Now I just need to pass it. 🙈

But that’s the update on my bachelor’s thesis—what else is happening in my life? After all, that’s the question we wanted to address. I think you want to know what’s next for me. Honestly, things are far from easy right now. Between waiting for my thesis results and thinking about the near future, I feel like I’m hanging in the air a bit. Not knowing what’s ahead or whether I might have to move suddenly because something new is on the horizon drains my courage and energy at times. 🫠 

I think everyone reaches—or will reach—a point in life where they just want to throw everything away. Yeah, I was just at that point. You might not see it on the outside, but internally, I’m often grappling with more than I show. That’s why I say treat everyone with love; you never know what they might be struggling with, even if everything seems fantastic from the outside. Many people wear masks when they’re not feeling well. Caught between tears and feeling the need to “function.” I’ve found myself there too. I advocate for more authenticity in everyday life, for more sincere inquiries and genuine empathy. I believe that’s something that has been somewhat lost today. 

But back to my potential future. I already mentioned my idea to pursue a master’s in “Multimedia Production.” I've applied for that program as well, and it would also be right here in Ansbach. The upside is that I wouldn’t have to move again and would earn a higher qualification. The downside is that I can’t jump into the working world right away, and everything is being pushed back in general. I also applied for a TV internship, which would occur in Mannheim. The upside is I would gain a lot of practical experience and could build a strong portfolio. The downside? I would have to move in the next three months and leave my friends and coworkers behind. Do you see my dilemma? 🥹 If you have any advice, I would appreciate it! But even a prayer would mean a lot to me—that I can simply find acceptance wherever my next step takes me. 

I want to look forward to the future with hope, trusting that God has good plans for me and that everything will ultimately serve my best interests. We can rely on that. 🙏🏻 

By the end of this month, I’ll be heading somewhere again. A little vacation is how I’d refer to it. I think I’ll need that as well. 😉

But here’s some good news: I finally turned it in a week and a half ago, and I have to say, that feels pretty good. 😉

Who’s always willing to listen to the things that are on your mind. But that’s the bachelor’s thesis—what else is going on with me? After all, that’s the question we wanted to answer. I think you want to know what’s next for me. I’ll be honest, things are anything but easy for me right now. Between waiting for the results of my thesis and the near future, I’m kind of hanging in limbo. Not knowing what’s ahead of me and whether I’ll have to move on short notice because something new is waiting for me—that sometimes saps all my courage and strength. 🫠

I think everyone has reached—or will reach—a point in their life where they’d just like to throw it all away. Yep, I was just at that point. You might not be able to tell by looking at me, but inside, I’m sometimes dealing with more than I let on. That’s why: treat everyone with love; you don’t know if—or what—they’re currently struggling with, even if everything looks super great from the outside. Many people wear masks when they’re actually not feeling well. Caught between crying and the feeling of “having to function.” I’ve caught myself there too. I’m for more authenticity in everyday life, for more honest inquiry and genuine empathy. I think that’s something we’ve lost a bit of these days. 

But back to my possible future. I’ve already told you about the idea of pursuing a master’s degree in “Multimedia Production.” I’ve applied for that program as well. It would also be here in Ansbach. The upside is that I wouldn’t have to move again and I’d earn a higher qualification. The downside is that I wouldn’t be able to start working right away, and everything would generally be pushed back. I’ve also applied for a TV internship, which would be in Mannheim. The upside is that I’d get a lot of hands-on experience and could build a strong portfolio. The downside is that I’d have to move in the next three months and leave my friends and coworkers behind. Do you see my dilemma? 🥹 If you have any advice for me, I’d love to hear it! That I’ll simply be accepted wherever the journey takes me next.

I want to look forward with hope, trusting that God has good intentions for me and that everything will work out for the best. We can trust in that. 🙏🏻 

At the end of this month, I’m heading off somewhere again. A little vacation, I’d call it. I think I’ll need that, too. 😉
