Today was all about the elephants at Addo Elephant National Park. Since I've been on several safaris before (and for cost reasons), I decided to drive with my own rental car, and this was a wonderful decision.
Among other animals, I was able to observe a herd first, which was on its way to the waterhole - the highlight was definitely that I had it all to myself.
Afterwards, another herd passed right by me from a waterhole. Experiencing these impressive animals right next to your own vehicle was unique.
And the most seen and most dangerous animal: the dung beetle. It prefers to stay on the roads, so driving slowly and carefully is programmed.
Tonight I will once again spend the night at Chrislin African Lodge before heading towards the Indian Ocean tomorrow.
