The most photographed place in Bordeaux is the Mirror of Water, in front of Place de la Bourse.
It is a 3,450 square meter area that is filled with water several times a day, creating a reflection and a mirror effect. But most importantly, it is a huge fun for children. While we just cool our feet, the little ones use the place as a paddling pool.
After a while, the water drains away, but it is later pumped back up again by jets.
By the way, the Mirror of Water was inspired by the high tide in Venice's St. Mark's Square. In this natural event, the surrounding buildings are also reflected in the water.
Unfortunately, during our visit to Bordeaux, some of the buildings were scaffolded, so my photos cannot fully capture its splendor.
