From Agde, we wanted to try out a new route through France. We headed north on the A75 towards Clermont Ferrand.
The weather got worse and colder during the drive, so we decided to continue east towards Valence with an overnight stay near Clermont Ferrand.
There (south of Lyon), the weather was significantly better. A small campsite near Valence (Saint-Jean de Muzols) is beautifully located by the Doux river. Right next to the campsite is the train station of the historic Doux railway, which we took a ride on.
On the way to Tournon sur Rhone, I had a small accident with the bike because I got stuck in a railway track. The area around Rhone/Doux does resemble the Rheingau region.
