30 kilometers on pure gravel roads, I think the Ford Ranger does really well on such surfaces. If my wife hadn't stopped me, I would have really tested it out, quite right, not a little bit right. But the passengers were already green in the face and begging for mercy - so Walter Röhrl-Pitti had to slow down.
Where are we? Kaka Point on the southern west coast of the South Island. There's nothing here, just the dog buried. But wonderful! Yesterday we received an email from the Motel Nugget View saying that the only restaurant in town was closed and that we should please bring our own food. Frank Rosin-Pitti made full use of the kitchen in the apartment...

In total, we traveled here from Queenstown for a little over four hours and were able to enjoy an incredible amount of the phenomenal and varied nature. Tomorrow we'll continue to Dunedin, but first we'll go to Kaka Point Lighthouse... with a bit of luck we'll see a yellow-eyed penguin.
Windshield wiper instead of indicator counter: It's done, child was right, over 100...101!
Addendum: 10 p.m., just stood outside on the terrace with my child, didn't see anything because it was pitch black, but heard... the ocean... sounded similar to a rest stop in Weißkirchen on the A3.
