Christmas in the Caribbean - Tobago Cays, Grenadines (Cruise with the Royal Clipper)

In the morning, we arrived at a beach on Petit Bateau, an island of the Tobago Cays, where we were to anchor for the day.

We went ashore early and first set out to climb the “mountain” in the middle of the small island.

We ascended through narrow and often quite steep paths, so we were glad we had brought our hiking shoes.

Once at the top, we had a beautiful view of the beach and water.

Many yachts and excursion boats were anchored in front of the island, so not only the guests of our ship were on the beach.

At noon, there was a barbecue on the beach, for which the crew brought tables and food from the ship to the shore.

Afterwards, our travel group split up: Part of us boarded a catamaran for a snorkeling excursion.

The trip went to a reef for snorkeling, where although no turtles were seen, many small fish were visible.

Afterwards, we had a beach stay on a small island that was so narrow that you could see the sea on both sides.

While there was a rum punch on the catamaran, the non-snorkeling participant relaxed with a massage using warm shells on board.

When everyone was back on the ship, we had a Christmas Tea with Christmas songs to sing along to and a typical French Christmas cake called “Bûche de Noël”.

After the Christmas meal, we went up on deck for the “Light Show”, where the sails were illuminated in various colors.
