This morning we woke up to the best weather. After showering, I set off. I walked about 500 m along the beach, parallel to the main street with shops and local businesses. Yesterday we discovered a bakery there that offers not only Australian sourdough bread but also European-looking products. I bought an 'Original French Baguette' and 'Dark Rye Bread', as well as two croissants. We liked the baguette the best. The rye bread was sweet and relatively soft, although not as bad as the breads usually are here. After breakfast, we walked to Teddy's Lookout (viewpoint). It was quite steep up from the hotel, then along the edge of a eucalyptus forest and finally through it to the viewpoint. There was a lot of people there. However, apart from us, only four girls were walking. Everyone else came by car. You can see what we could see from there in the photos. We then walked to two more viewpoints and back through the eucalyptus forest. As it is very hot today for our standards, we got quite sweaty. After a short break in the room, we drove to Erskine Falls (waterfalls), which are about 6 km from the town.
Unfortunately, we didn't see any koalas or kangaroos. But luckily no snakes either.
After about 10 km of gravel road through a forest, we finally arrived back in Lorne. The shopping for our dinner is already done.
