After a 10-hour bus ride, we arrived in Agnes Water late in the evening on June 20th, where we went straight to bed to be well-rested for the next day.
Today, we went surfing π! Agnes Water is known for offering the cheapest surf lessons, but with good service. And that's exactly what it was like. At the Reef 2 Beach surf school, you can get a 3-hour course for $25 (β¬15), where you are taught the basics of surfing.
The group of 21 beginner surfers was divided into 3 coaches. Everyone received a suitable wetsuit and, of course, a surfboard. Going surfing without those would have been quite a challenge π.
And even as a complete beginner, I managed to do it on my second try:
Then, when everyone who had partied yesterday was awake and ready, we went to the beach together. We were able to watch today's surf lessons and we really had to say that ours must have looked 100% better! βπΌ For lunch, we sat down in one of the small beach cafes and I treated myself to a little cake π. A strawberry cheesecake! Soooo delicious! π Afterwards, we went back to the beach and enjoyed the last rays of sunshine to get a little more tanned. Back at the hostel, we cooked curry for dinner and watched the talent show put on by some of the girls from the hostel :D.Too bad you can't upload videos here... π π Relatively late, at 9:45pm, we got back on the bus. On to the next stop!Where to? Well π€·πΌββοΈ but I can tell you one thing. The city has its own beer brand, which you can also buy in Germany, and is particularly famous for the rum distillery... Got it? ππ To be continued... Xo
