After oversleeping half the day yesterday, we finally got going early this morning. We met at the office at 8 am to transfer the car to our name. Allow us to introduce: Jeepy Chan! Fully equipped, we set off this afternoon towards the Great Ocean Road. A brief stop at a surfer beach allowed us to breathe in the salty air for the first time. Then the real adventure began. After a few navigation difficulties on my part (I admit it!), we finally found the Great Ocean Road. Along the coast, with the waves getting bigger and bigger, we drove around curves and over mountains - the rainforest to our right. By the way, driving on the left side of the road is not that easy. We collected fantastic moments and even saw our first three hopping kangaroos on the hill in front of us. I could hardly stop taking pictures. Actually, we wanted to make it all the way to the 12 Apostles today, but we still have about 100km left to go. Oops. Instead, we reached our first sleeping spot at 4 pm: a small village called Skenes Creek. We parked the car, set up the bed, cooked dinner, and inflated the air mattress. We played until it got dark. Then we went to the beach, which is only 3m away from our car. Amazing. We're looking forward to waking up to the sound of the waves tomorrow. Now it's time to plan tomorrow's route, which has completely changed thanks to the host. Well.. We have time (;
