Visit in Phillip Island

Pubblicato: 14.04.2016

One weekend we went to Phillip Island to visit Andy's grandparents who live there. They have a nice little home with enough space to welcome friends and family. Even when you walk over the street you got a Trout farm where you can fish your own fish and even be able to eat them afterwards. In the beginning it wasn't really easy to get some fish at least for me, Andy was luckier with the second try. I didn't realize it is actually cool to fish and try over and over again. It makes you proud when you finally have one on the rod. I am not saying I would do that every day but occasionally for fun.

While we were exploring the surroundings we saw Wallabies jumping around. We decided to drive a little and watch the sunset nearby the cliffs. When we got there and did some walking around we saw even more Wallabies, the smaller version of Kangaroos but much cuter. It was so fascinating to watch them jumping and looking at us. Before I came to Australia I have only seen them in the Zoo, now to see them in their natural habitat it's even cooler. The sunset was beautiful and right after we went back to Andy's grandparents.

His granny has a unique gift, she is sewing Quilts and not only they are really beautiful but also very colorful and handmade. She has been doing that for a long time and even made them for charity. I was curious as I heard about it before when I met her the first time but to see what she was talking about was even more interesting.
