After months of anticipation, the last few weeks flew by. And this morning was the day: The three of us took the regional train to Augsburg, where our journey was about to begin. The excitement settled down on the express train, and the anticipation took over. After almost 6 hours of surprisingly pleasant train ride, we arrived at Hamburg Hauptbahnhof. For many, that was the final destination. But for us, there was still more to come in the north. After a short stop, we boarded the train to Copenhagen, our first destination. It was then that I realized that I had forgotten my phone charger at home.. well, now it was too late and I'm sure I can find one in Copenhagen. ;)
We crossed the water border between Germany and Denmark by ferry and after another long two hours, we finally reached our final station in Copenhagen. Finding our way here turned out to be not so easy, as none of us speaks a word of Danish and the city, especially near the station, is quite busy, of course.
At first glance, the city looks very beautiful and modern, despite the many old brick houses, as many buildings have a glass facade. There was also an amusement park right at the train station and there are all sorts of shops where we will definitely take a look at in the next few days. You also immediately notice the high number of cyclists.
After a few difficulties with the ticket machines for the bus lines, we finally arrived at our accommodation. Our host was already waiting for us, handing over the keys.
But tomorrow we will explore the city!
