After three days on Boulder Beach in one of the suburbs of Las Vegas, today we begin our final leg to Los Angeles. The journey time is 4.5 hours and takes us past the well-known town of Death Valley. After 2.5 hours we will leave Interstate 15 again to look at the ghost town of Calico. Located in the Mojawe Desert of Southern California, this ghost town was founded in 1881 as part of silver mining. At the end of the 19th century the mines and the town were abandoned. At its best, around 1,200 people lived in Calico. It will certainly be exciting to take a look at such a ghost town.
Then it's off to the home stretch and tomorrow we'll hand in our camper at the Cruise America rental station in Los Angeles. The Airbnb in Los Angeles that we reserved for 3 more nights is already waiting for us. In the City of Angels, we have once again picked out a few spots to make sightseeing in this big city a little easier. Beverly Hills, Walk of Fame, Hollywood Boulevard, Santa Monica Beach to name just a few. Finally, we're looking forward to the city of Los Angeles and watching a baseball game tomorrow evening.
