Ben Lommond

With the first gondola, I went up to the mountain early in the morning, where I met Stacy to hike the Ben Lommond track together. Alone on the observation deck of the gondola station, the view over Lake Wakatipu was already amazing. Afterwards, we walked a short distance through the forest, but it didn't stay shady for long. The track led us to a mountain saddle where we seriously considered turning around, as the now 32 degrees Celsius were quite challenging for us. A German woman who joined us also did this.. But then a little wind came up and Stacy and I wanted to at least give it a try. And it was definitely worth it.. The trail was quite challenging and we had to climb frequently, but the view made up for everything :)

When we returned to Queenstown, we first had something to eat and then took a nap for an hour in the air-conditioned room :).. Then I met up with a few people from my first bus and we decided to eat another Fergburger. This time I tried one with lamb, which was even better than yesterday's. We spent the evening by the lake again and then it was unfortunately time to say goodbye to some people :( After Stockholm, I definitely have to go to Michigan and Great Britain ;)
