After yesterday's action-packed day, we treated ourselves to a relaxing morning by the pool after breakfast. But we can't sit still for long. We still have so many things on our to-do list. After lunch, we took a taxi to the "Dubai Miracle Garden". With the photos we had seen on the internet, our expectations were once again very high. And they were more than exceeded. I have never seen such a colorful flower paradise before!!
The "Dubai Miracle Garden" is the largest flower garden in the world with over 150 million flowers & plants. Flowers are growing on houses, castles, and even on the largest decommissioned A-380 plane from Emirates Airline, covering an area of 7.2 hectares.
As a huge Disney fan, the giant Mickey Mouse was, of course, the absolute highlight for me. There is now also a Minnie Mouse next to it. But in 2008, Mickey was still alone.
We strolled through this sea of colors for 2.5 hours, listened a bit to the live music, and enjoyed a bowl of fruit with freshly squeezed juice. We were so overwhelmed by these intense colors. It is definitely worth a visit when you fly to Dubai.
At around 5 p.m., we took a taxi to the next point on our list: the "Global Village".
We thought it was some kind of amusement park, but what awaited us inside was incredible. The "Global Village" is the largest tourism, leisure, shopping, and entertainment project in the world. It is a huge exhibition area representing up to 90 cultures of the world. You can find everything from typical food, spices, fabrics, and handicrafts. The time we had planned for it was way too short. We could have strolled around there for hours.
