The last week before my visitors arrived was all about hard training, eating, sleeping, and swimming!
Marc, my English friend unexpectedly came to Lanta too, as he got injured during training in northern Thailand and needed the sea for recovery. Sooo great to have him here again!
Noemi and Jere got sick on the neighboring island, and I decided to pick them up, haha what a storyπ My Thai friend misunderstood me on the phone: instead of speedboat, she understood bigboatπ€£ So Marc, Ning (Thai friend, who spontaneously got 3 hours off from his boss and immediately did a happy dance!π) and I took the slowest and biggest boat (space for 200-300 peopleπ€£π€£π€£) to the neighboring island Koh Phi Phi... But we could still make a short snorkel stop at the famous Maya Bay (Movie The Beach) and arrived on Lanta after 8h!π!
The 3 days with Noemi and Jere were very wonderful! We drove to the south with Marc, even Noemi was able to ride a motorbike wellπ€ We enjoyed lazing around, swimming, eating delicious food, getting massages, and on the last evening we enjoyed a wonderful seafood dinner. It was really nice to have loved ones here, I am super proud of my daughter, will always love youβ€
The days passed too quickly, there was so much more I wanted to show them, for them to enjoy and to learn sooo much more about their lives! But I am happy and will always keep these moments in my heart! Thank you Noemi and Jereππβ€
All 3 of us flew to BKK and enjoyed the Khao San Road a bit before saying bye bye the next morningπ But I didn't have time to be sad at all, as Sabrina and Andrea had already arrived in BKK! Saying goodbye to friends - welcoming friends, not easy at allππ
In Bangkok, we enjoyed the first day around the Khao San Road; shopping, eating, getting massages. Jetlag was still in the bones of the newcomers. The next day, we took a boat on the Chao Phraya River to the new town and shopped until our feet hurt. In the evening, we went to a rooftop terrace to a cool bar (Movie Hangover) and Barbla arrived in BKK too! First curry and Chang beer and lots of chatting and catching up. We spent the whole last day sightseeing: Wat Arun and Wat Pho, two wonderfully beautiful temples. On Monday, Barbla went her way and we did the last shopping before heading to the airport.
In Krabi, Boy picked us up with the Tuk Tuk (Disco Tuk Tuk with beer, music, and fresh airπ) and drove us to Lanta. Of course, I had to go to Cannon's bar right awayπ
The 8 days with the three of us were wonderfully beautiful, relaxed, funny, and adventurous... Sabrina stayed with me for 3 nights and then in bungalows by the sea, Andrea also stayed by the sea and we saw each other daily. I only went to training sometimes, but most of the time I was too tired as the nights were shorter than I'm used toπ
I was able to show them a lot of the island, but often we were just on the beach, reading, sleeping, chatting, eating, or swimming in the sea, wonderful, it was a vacation for me too! Highlights for me were the island tour, Muay Thai fight night (Aek, 54 years old, fought again after 2 years, I saw him for the first time and poahhh peng puff pang: knockout! Aek won!!!), Job 2 Do concert (Thai Reggae), and of course our girls' conversationsπππ
Then Barbla joined again and we became 4 againπ So I could enjoy Barbla for a few more days tooπ
Now I'm alone for 2 days, tomorrow Nina will come with her daughter until mid-Marchπππ
You can see what we have experienced in the pictures...
Thank you a thousand times for your friendship, your visit, your time, and just nice to have you as friends: Sabrina, Barbla, and Andreaπππ I have happy memories with you for the rest of my life!β€
By the way: everything is great with Cannon, we are falling more and more in loveβ€ and I'm a little further with my future plans, but nothing is fixed yet, so please be patientπ€
With love and warm wishes, your Daniela
