The pictures of our lambs and Olaf the house sheep are a special birthday greeting to Michaela. They are really cute. Magnus has about 150 ewes with about 300 lambs in addition to the horses. These 3 are raised with a bottle and are therefore accustomed to humans. Not only do they actually follow you in the meantime, no, they even want to be petted. Simply adorable. Olaf the giant sheep is 5 years old, also a former bottle baby, but he did not want to integrate with the other sheep anymore. Magnus tried several times - Olaf always came back. Olaf is not only big - no, Olaf is fat. If he actually gets to the river - it takes him about 3 days to get back uphill. But he always comes back. In the morning he lies at the fence and snores, in the afternoon he hangs around in the garden.... However, 'hang around' is the wrong term... he staggers from place to place, that would be the right term.
Last night there was a visit from a group of riders with about 80 horses. The horses stayed overnight, the riders only in the evening at the pub and it was once again impressive how Icelanders celebrate. There was live music first from one of the riders and then from Magnus and there really wasn't a song that they didn't sing along loudly in chorus. Simply beautiful. Tina, Maya and I also finished off the red wine and drank some beer. By half past 2 this morning, the pub was tidied up and I was in bed. When I got up this morning, I regretted a bit that I got a little wasted last night and strangely enough, I have had a headache all day today. I wonder why that is...
