Tossa de Mar is a town and a coastal municipality in the province of Girona, Catalonia (Spain, Europe). It belongs to the comarca of La Selva (capital of the comarca: Santa Coloma de Farners) (and to the subcomarca or natural comarca of the Selva Marítima) and to the judicial district of Blanes, the judicial district No. 7 of the province of Girona. It is located on the Costa Brava of Girona, between Lloret de Mar and Sant Feliu de Guíxols.

The population (according to INE data from 2023) is 6206 inhabitants and it has an area of 38.18 km².

The beautiful parish church of Tossa de Mar is dedicated to Sant Vicenç (Saint Vincent); it was built in the 18th century (specifically in 1755) in neoclassical style. There is also a lovely chapel dedicated to the Virgen del Socorro, built in 1593 and located in the historic center next to the shopping street.
