In the morning, both of us woke up very early after a long time. The sun shines into the bus at seven o'clock and invites us to wake up and enjoy the day. We sit outside and have breakfast under the radiant blue sky. We set off early towards the Lofoten Islands. Northern Norway is divided into 12 regions,
and Lofoten is one of them. We first drive to the Harstad region. We enjoy the landscape with great colors and reach the city of Harstad after about 100 km. We park at the harbor and optimistically buy a parking ticket for three hours, but we are done with the town in 20 minutes... oh...! So we decide to have a coffee and use the free WiFi. We feel like kids addicted to the internet. Because we both don't have any data left. However, after 10 minutes, we have had enough and we look at the somewhat broken characters at the other tables.
A camping site is located a bit outside, right by the water with a view of the city, where we settle in for one night. The dog goes for a little swim and later we go alone to a shopping center about 1km away to buy some small things. How inconvenient that there is also a Sushi Point here..., we have the finest fish rolls prepared and enjoy them when we return in front of our bus. Delicious!
In the evening, the weather gives us a taste of a proper Nordic cold front. After a sunny day in shorts, I voluntarily put on long pants and thick socks, and the hat comes into use as well. It is about 7 degrees Celsius with a stiff breeze. I sort some photos in the bus and Jörn stares at the lights of the city. Good night!
