The morning started with a visit to Sandy Point, near the campsite. After breakfast, we then drove to the Water Tower and spent some time in Queens Garden.
Afterwards, we went to Bluff to visit the "Road Sign", the lighthouse, and then an observation platform.
The beloved Toyota Estima, which feels like every backpacker drives, brought us up the mountain with difficulty, but then started smoking from under the hood and even some mist came out from under the seat.
From up there, we could even see the third southernmost island of New Zealand, Stewart Island.
In the evening, we ventured out to the Estuary Walkway, a one-hour walk that took us along the water and over bridges.
In the evening, we returned to the same campsite as yesterday and ended the evening there.
Take care, my dears!
Yours, Miri ☺️
