Day 17, 18 & 19 - Las Vegas

After a few days of silence, we're back again. We used the past few days to relax, as the journey has been a bit tiring so far. And that's why the daily reports somehow got neglected. :-)

So what have we been doing for the past 3 days? Well, to be honest, we weren't very productive during the day. :-) Most of the time, we spent by our hotel pool, enjoying the hot and sunny weather. With temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius, we didn't really feel like running around.

Okay, on one of the three days, we did some shopping. The Las Vegas North Premium Outlet was perfect for this. We arrived in the USA with relatively empty suitcases, but now they're definitely filled! :-)

We actually liked the city much better at night anyway. Las Vegas is not Las Vegas if it's not illuminated by all the colorful lights. Casino visits and endless walks through huge hotel complexes were just as much a part of our program as one of the legendary magic shows in Las Vegas. And since David Copperfield is taking a few days off, we attended the 'Penn & Teller' show at the Rio Hotel. It was a really fun show with many amazing magic tricks. And it was also nice to meet the two stars personally after the show.

While I'm writing this Las Vegas report, my wife is trying to pack the many clothes we bought into our suitcases. Because tomorrow morning we'll be leaving Las Vegas heading east to continue our journey. We really enjoyed our time in Vegas and realized that this city has much more to offer than just casinos. Cool shows, great relaxation options, delicious food, amazing hotels, and much more.

Bye bye Vegas!
