During our week in Melbourne, we saw a lot, both in the city center: Queen Victoria Market, Eureka Skydeck (a lookout tower), Shrine of Remembrance (monument in memory of the soldiers of World War I and II), as well as in the suburban neighborhoods. For example, we visited Brighton Beach to see the round 90 colorful bathing boxes and visited the market in St Kilda. Furthermore, we took a 2-day tour along the Great Ocean Road, where we could see many beautiful beaches, the 12 Apostles, and lots of Australian animals.
On Saturday, a friend of mine from Germany, who is currently on an exchange in Melbourne, celebrated her birthday. Viki had already shown us around the city on Monday, but this gave us another chance to meet her host family.
Since this morning, we have been in Sydney, where we will stay until Saturday.
