Hello dear ones,
Before I start with Auckland, here's my final report on Samoa: the last eight days in my hammock on the beach, in the shade of two palm trees with a coconut filled with rum were really great. The food was also pretty good and with the constant sound of the ocean in my ears, I slept very well. I also survived Samoa's dangerous flora and fauna, I wasn't struck by any coconuts.
Now to Auckland: Auckland is commonly known as a pretty ugly city, in a pretty nice landscape, with pretty nice inhabitants and a pretty liberal drug policy. And that's pretty accurate. That's why I'll spare you the pictures from the lookout point Mt. Eden, which I climbed today, and upload pictures of Auckland's second most famous sight. (If anyone still wants to see the view of Auckland from Mt. Eden, please consult Google.) Auckland's second most famous sight is probably the masses of Asians who visit and populate the city every year. That's why the photo of the ladies. However, this photo was taken when the ladies suddenly started taking a photo of me. Why? I have no idea. Because I wasn't the only German there, nor the only white person. However, I had just been to the hairdresser's. From tomorrow onwards, I will do what all Kiwis (New Zealanders) have recommended for Auckland, which is to get out of here. I will then travel the North Island for twelve days on a bus tour.
Until then,
Warm regards
