Rio Vermelho - a very beautiful neighborhood, but also the number one spot for nightlife in Salvador. There are many bars and clubs that are worth a visit. On weekends, the streets are barely passable due to the large number of people gathering there and the street vendors selling drinks from their carts.

However, during the day, we went to Casa do Rio Vermelho, the house of Jorge Amado and his wife, for the language course.

He is a very well-known person in Brazil and many celebrities have visited him. His old house and property have been converted into a museum, which reflects a bit of the history of Salvador and Brazil and also presents a lot of art. Very interesting, beautiful, and highly recommended!

Afterwards, we returned to Rio Vermelho square for an evening beer and delicious Acaraje with crabs.
