For the first time since Saturday, I was finally able to sleep in and spend the day relaxing in Berlin.
After waking up, I bought something for breakfast and went to the city to visit the Tränenpalast (Palace of Tears). This is the former border crossing at the Friedrichstraße S-Bahn station where travelers could go to the other half of the city. The museum was very interesting and I especially enjoyed the audio guide.
Afterwards, I walked along the Spree River to the Futurium, a new museum that showcases visions of the future. It was also a great museum with many interactive exhibits and two large swings, which I of course took advantage of.
In order to not spend the evening alone, I looked online for people who are also in Berlin. However, it didn't work out so well as the people I met didn't have much time. So I just got myself a bratwurst and went back to the hostel.
