Some have been wondering why it has been so quiet here in the last few days and there has been no news from us - unfortunately, we had to abort the rehab and have been back home since yesterday.
Markus started coughing again and had a slightly elevated temperature 🤒 (38 degrees) - the doctor wanted to isolate us again, while other mothers with feverish children sat at our table in the dining room and infected Markus again through coughing - no idea how the criteria are decided there.
Unfortunately, the treatment was also very unsatisfactory after it started off so promising. Only allergy tests were performed and a stool sample was examined. No one cared how often Markus had diarrhea or if there might be any improvement. Since only ready-made products were cooked in the clinic, Markus got worse and worse. His skin also got worse, even though we had no problems with it before we arrived.
When I asked what I can do now regarding the diarrhea, I didn't get an answer. Nothing could be done for him in the clinic, and I will have to live with it until a fructose test can be performed (at the earliest at 4 years old 🥺🥺🥺).
Am I the only one who finds this alarming? Am I overreacting? Is it normal for a little person to have diarrhea for months (!!!) and no one cares?
I am incredibly disappointed and very sad that I can't help my son - and slowly but surely, I am reaching my limits.
