Japanese dinner at the ryokan

Pubblicato: 15.10.2018

Tonight, my attitude to eat everything, to like fish and seafood, and to be curious about foreign food, was put to the test.

The photos are not of great quality, but they are meaningful in content...smile!

And that's not all! More food kept coming from the kitchen, such as fried fish heads, soba, and some fruit for dessert.

As an appetizer, there was the sea snail. I'll spare you the details of how it looked when I pulled it out with the special fork. But it was good to eat! On the left, a bowl with something rather slimy to slurp. It tasted excellent.

The sashimi was very delicate!

Crab legs with deliciously tangy pickles.

A fine fish, of course, with the head.

A large slice of eggplant with a delicious sauce on top.

Clam soup

Pickles... very good

Watching TV news from Kyoto

With weather forecast.... unfortunately very changeable.

Today luckily sunny, warm, blue sky to welcome at the sea.

But that can be over tomorrow already.

You guys in Switzerland have better weather and food-wise....

well, that's a matter of taste ;-) but tomorrow for Japanese breakfast, there will be fish in all forms again.

I think I will need a pizza or a plate of spaghetti soon.

After the meal, I went to the village for a 'digestif'. Almost everything was closed, the village completely deserted. Luckily, a young Japanese man had a very modern restaurant/bar. There, I had a large glass of nicely chilled SAKE.... and read the Tagi as an E-paper on my phone.
