Off to Fiji

A little cold and disorganized, we arrived in Nadi and could immediately go to an island: Beachcomber was our first stop. In the Yasawa Islands, we spontaneously traveled around and by a lucky coincidence, we ended up at Waitui Basecamp. Cozy and very familiar, we immediately felt comfortable and stayed for 5 days, experiencing the aftermath of Cyclone Gita up close. Nevertheless, a day before we went snorkeling, feeding fish, and relaxing. Just a few sunny days later, we learned that a new cyclone was approaching: one day after our onward flight to New Zealand, it hit.
