Von Ostenholz nach Langeloh

It is still quite chilly today, but the sun will come out. My journey takes me through Soltau. There is a market in the pedestrian zone, so I indulge myself with fresh vegetables. It is still 74 km to Hamburg. Far outside the town, I find my regular place where I can get my equipment ready. My menu always consists of a hot apple pocket and a cup of coffee. I want to be a little economical with my budget.

The ride through the Lüneburg Heath is an endless straight road. The bicycle path runs permanently next to the B3. Not so varied. Also, I can feel now that I am in the north, because the wind does not let up. Around 5.30 pm, I decide to call it a day. I would love to go to a lake, but there are not many here, and if there are, they are private property. Oh well... how much the human wants to own. I take a small detour through the forest, the path becomes narrower and muddier. Behind a one-meter-high nettle hedge and a few trees, I spread out on a freshly mowed meadow... ready to enjoy the evening sun.

It is getting dark and I am tired lying in the tent when I hear two men talking not far away. Oh..hopefully I stay invisible to them🤭 But it is unlikely that they will spot me. Soon they disappear again. Finally falling asleep, I am woken up by loud music🤔 A group of young people is having a party. The Ghetto Blaster is turned up to the max. Well, this could be fun🙄. But they also leave at some point. I guess I chose my spot right next to the village meeting point. What a stroke of bad luck😂
