Sunny days in the Dominican Republic were followed by many cold and rainy days in Toronto, and even now, at the beginning of May, it is mostly cloudy and there is little sign of spring, let alone summer. Apart from the Canadian weather, things are going very well for me in my new chosen home of Toronto. With skill and luck, I immediately found a room in a fabulous area (Koreatown) and a job in the touristy Kensington Market.
At the restaurant "Krepesz" (Hungarian for crepes), I work as a waiter or, more recently, also on the crepe griddles. I was able to avoid the initial problems I encountered during the job search and in my work routine in Vancouver.
In April, I also had a visit from my mother, who brought apple wine and Pueblo tobacco for me, which increased the already great joy of our reunion. We took the opportunity to explore Toronto together and spent two days at the nearby Niagara Falls.
At the end of May, my journey continues to Montreal, where I will certainly enjoy a few beers with my buddy Hendrik over a total of three weeks. I will be back in Frankfurt at the end of June.
See you soon 😘😘
