The morning sky unfortunately didn't look as nice as it ended yesterday. The clouds hung low and there was no sign of the sun. The nighttime temperature was significantly higher than the usual seven degrees.
Today, we were going to observe seals. We started at 10:00 at the Icelandic Seal Centre with the small cutter Brimill.
A small group of passengers were already waiting at the pier. The animals were supposed to be found on the opposite shore.
By noon, we were back. I visited the seal museum at the Icelandic Seal Centre and returned to the campsite. Today, I wanted to plan the rest of the tour. I didn't get the chance to do it yesterday. So, I sat down in the well-heated common room and started studying the map and travel guide. The fresh air in the morning and the cozy warmth in the common room took their toll. The pressure on my eyelids was increasing steadily. Just before the feeling of falling forward onto the table, I decided to take a nap, after all, I'm on vacation.
After two hours of eye care in the tent, I was awake again. What to do now with the remaining day.
The weather had changed by now and the sun was shining. Stepping out of the well-heated changing and shower area into the 12-degree cold outside. But quickly into the water, swim a few laps at first. It's wonderful to float in the warm water, looking up at the fluffy clouds.
Then I'll try the jacuzzis. 34-36 degrees, quite pleasant. Pool two, 37 degrees, also nice. Pool three, 39-41 degrees, that's something. I'll be lying here for almost 20 minutes, cooking myself. The subsequent jump into the main pool, with the now felt freezing water temperature and two laps swum, ends the swimming fun.
Back at the campsite, I finally start with the further planning, import photos, make dinner, and let the day fade away.
