After bidding farewell to Nicaragua with a beautiful sunset, we set off to Costa Rica to the first national park, the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
We took chicken buses for the long journey to this coveted destination.
The arduous trip, literally with ups and downs, was definitely worth it due to the flora and fauna.
Next, we visited Valle Orosi, an incredibly beautiful valley covered in coffee and banana plantations.
By now, we are fully immersed in the rainy season, so unfortunately we have to spend several hours a day chilling in hammocks with a book and fresh fruits in hand. So exhausting! 😉
During a break in the rain, we visited the farmer Nano, who entertained us with many interesting details about his home country Costa Rica while we enjoyed a small sip of rum ...
(We couldn't follow all the details, but it was definitely entertaining! 😊)
...and he took us to a waterfall on his coffee and banana plantation.
The final stop in Costa Rica was Puerto Viejo, a small town on the Caribbean coast. Here, we breathed in the sweet scent of the Caribbean coast and enjoyed every moment to the fullest.
We visited the Cahuita National Park, which also offers a lot of fascinating wildlife and plant life.
On our last day, we cruised the coast with some stylish bikes.
Now we're heading to Panama, specifically Bocas del Toro, where we're excited for the Caribbean weekend parties. We'll definitely be back soon to tell you about these experiences, maybe not in too much detail 😉.
Muchos besos
